Marco Antonio Cobar Morales

A former all around athlete who has dedicated his life to sports in general. In High School he was on the Track and Field National Team participating in the 1,500 and 3,000 meters. During his college career he played with Rafael Landivar’s Basketball Team participating in the Guatemalan Major League of Basketball.

In soccer he has worked with “Club Social y Deportivo Municipal”, the most important soccer team in Guatemala, scouting local high schools and minor league teams for new talent. He has had the representation of several foreign soccer players that he has signed up to play in some of the local Major League Teams.

He is the founder of the CAFL (Central American Football League). He organized the formation of University Football teams in Guatemala, Managua, Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula and San Salvador, which are now participating in the second season of this Football League in Central America. Right now he is working on the first Football High school League in Central America which is setup to start in February of 2004 in Guatemala City.

He has very important connections with the Guatemalan soccer league and the national sports authorities (CONFEDE) which will be very valuable to our project.

Marco Antonio has a degree in Civil Engineer Administration from the Universidad Rafael Landivar in Guatemala City. He is the owner of a local construction company that works in residential and industrial construction.
