I graduated from Texas A&M University with an Animal Science degree in 2000 and a Masters of Agribusiness in 2005. The Agribusiness program dealt heavily with the important role that innovative technologies such as the ScoringAg system play in the long-term sustainability of production agriculture, not only to ensure safe domestic consumption, but also in terms of sustaining a valuable export market, and creating added value at the farm level. I have also been a Research Analyst and a Project Manager for AgriLogic, Inc. since 2001, researching, developing, and evaluating Federally-subsidized crop insurance policies for USDA’s Risk Management Agency. During my time at AgriLogic, I made a significant number of contacts in the livestock, grain, fiber, fruit and vegetable industries in more than 25 states. I believe the ScoringAg system will be a valuable asset to both the crop and livestock industries for record keeping, traceability, inventory management, disease monitoring and control, and third party certifications.
