Our People
There are a number of people who make ScoringSystem, Inc. possible.
William Kanitz, our President, has been a farmer, seed company owner, manufacturer of livestock equipment and the inventor of a high-tech drying wagon. Mr. Kanitz has decades of agricultural experience, covering cattle, swine, sheep and wool, vegetables and field crops. He also authored a manual for dry beans for the USDA and served as an employee of NASDA.
Brunhilde Merker, our CEO, has many years of impressive business accomplishments, which include acting as president and owner of Prime Property Development in Spring Hill, Florida, where she developed and designed a community for single-family homes. Mrs. Merker also serves her community as an Honorary Chairman to the Business Advisory Council of the National Republican Congressional Committee. The Council has recognized her efforts and achievements by naming her Businesswoman of the Year in 2003, 2005 and 2006 and presenting her with the Ronald Reagan Gold Medal Award in October of 2004.
Our lead Product Developer and Engineering Consultant is Lawrence Olson. Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Olson has been awarded a patent for the application of 2-D barcodes to data storage, has designed a system for secure ticketing and pioneered a series of articles on the application of ISO 9000 and QS 9000 principles in manufacturing. He was also heavily involved in setting up one of the first laser-scanning retail checkout systems. In addition, Mr. Olson is an accomplished technical author, having published numerous articles in trade magazines involving design, process and manufacturing.
Likewise, everyone in our engineering group has extensive internet and database experience, insuring state-of-the-art technology and security in all our products.
Our additional experience covers Sports Administration, Government, Food and Grocery, Restaurants and Wine, as well as a variety of other industries, the US, Europe and South America.
